Name and shame. If your employer has not sent out a global email from a C-level encouraging/requiring/giving option to work from home, throw them under the bus here.
I hear Box and Samsung specifically said no WFH
My roommate at Walmart Labs is discouraged working from home because of Coronavirus. Also they discourage wearing face masks
My team at Walmart Labs is working from home all next week
This thread is specifically about companies that don't have a global wfh mandate. This team-specific stuff is exactly the problem I'm trying to highlight.
Epic no WFH, but risk is really low in Madison,WI anyways update: as of 3/16 there is wfh for only two weeks wtf
Risk low only bc ignorance of risk
TC or gtfo
Roku! Not recommended.
Seattle only for AT&T/Warner Media.
To be more precise, they said there is no obligation to come in to office. Does not apply for fte, vendor, contractors if their work requires yo be in office (work in rf or device related work).
Yeah, I got the email encouraging WFH, I don’t know how you didn’t
Oracle... but what do you expect when Larry is Trumps California fundraiser
Oracle is more wfh friendly than any other place ive seen or heard. But maybe oci expectations are different. Source: i would know ;)
Oracle has people coming into office in Seattle?!?
Walmart
KLA Tencor for sure. We had email last week literally banning WFH officially. What a bunch of as$holes.
Citigroup
My friend at the Jersey city office got 2 weeks of mandatory wfh. Alternating wfh between red and blue teams
CEO said stay at home if sick, but not encouraged generally
Most orgs/teams are super chill about wfh anyways in general. Half my floor, if not more, is gone regardless
Exactly why I started the thread. Team-specific wfh is BS
