Kind people of blind, I need some advice. I am looking to get my GC filed so that I can get in line(ROW here) while market is hot and immigration system might change in near future. My current employer wont file that until I have maxed out H1B. What companies should I target? I am not good with leetcode or technical interviews for that matter. I have started practicing but would prefer companies that are LC easy/medium level (if I can find them). I heard Cerner and Walmart have a slightly lower bar, am I correct? Salesforce?SAP? Would prefer midwest since I have some extended family there. Skillset : 1 heavy backend Java microservices, know some front end and have some data experience. TC : 75K in LOC

Intel is pretty good when it comes to immigration. What makes u think immigration system will change in future ?
I see. HR1044.
Don't worry too much about it, it's mostly dead.
If Indian - any company is same - otherwise any decent company will file gc after few months of joining or immediately
avoid SAP, especially because of their broken GC policy.
Out of curiosity, elaborate?
this is for bay area: up until very recently it used to be that you had to be 3 years with the company to file GC. Now it's supposedly 3 months, but they are currently still in blackout period due to recent mass layoffs (I.e. cannot file perm). Besides the process is very slow and intransparent. It often takes weeks / months to get responses from HR or lawyers (they work with fragomen). There's more things I could mention, but just checkout glassdoor reviews and search for visa / GC in the reviews and you'll find more details. I have multiple ROW friends at sap who are with the company since more than 4 years and still haven't been able to file perm.
At facebook you can start GC the day you start (or after bootcamp).
Facebook and Microsoft for sure. Apple/Google: depends.
I'm joining Salesforce soon. My manager said there's usually a 6 month wait but he should be able to start it right away.
How hard were their interviews and your yoe?
Microsoft would be your best option.
Microsoft does team based hiring right?
Yeah, once you get past the online assessments and/or phone screens, you'll be interviewing with members in the same team or sister teams
