Companies hiring new grad/L3
Hiring freeze for lower levels (from blind) - 1. Uber 2. Google 3. LinkedIn 4. Facebook I wanted to try these 4 above. Out of top tier, I see only Amazon hiring. What are some recommended companies to apply? Is Microsoft hiring? Also, @Google @LinkedIn @Facebook are headcounts for L3/new grad expected to open by end of year?
Google Facebook LinkedIn do not have a hiring freeze right now. They have limited headcount, or headcount is reserved for new grads. Huge difference.
Not really. Seems like just semantics. If there is no budget for additional headcount then hiring is essentially frozen, either until attrition frees up space or leadership allocates more resources (money).
No limited headcount means they overhired before team matching and its catching up so theyre slowing down hiring until it evens out. Hiring freeze means theres an internal issue and is indefinite.

Why do they have hiring freeze? Are their stocks down? Or have they started offshoring their work to Asia?
For uber, they are in shit. Others probably not the right season yet.

Just put your 1 year at Amazon like so many others and bounce. It will probably be easier to get the attention of these companies anyway and you can negotiate without pressure of being a broke college student
