I'm aware that several big names like Google, Msft, Uber and Facebook hire directly from colleges in India and make arrangements for the candidates to work in Singapore/UK/Vancouver before shifting them to the respective HQs in the US. Are there any other companies too following the same pattern? And is the norm only for college hires or experienced ones too?
How is it fishy? They interview folks who are qualified. Those who clear apply for work visas and come to the US.
There are too many people out there who just don't want competition, any how and want free stuff on the name of no-immigration, diversity and other. Why not spend time in being better and valuable employee that is the best way to be safe.
Most of companies first hire them in India and use L1 to transfer. One of my friend(8yoe) move to Fb directly. In that case Fb, sponsored H1b
I have seen FB US hire experienced folks from india
It is the employees who are “shifting” to US by asking to change their teams.
