Marketing folks, what do you think of the recent move by the companies to pause their social media advertising? Would you consider this as a marketing tactic to get immediate visibility from majority, while saving themselves the advertising money in tough financial times like now? What other examples would you love to highlight from your case studies where such form of advertising helped / didnt help. #marketing #ads
They should stop for good
Yep they are already pulling back from all advertising channels and wanting to get that extra credit. Like what are these companies doing internally to hire and promote more diverse people? Probably nothing.
Social media never really did much for many b2b tech companies. When I headed marketing groups, I was unimpressed by the results social media provided. ABC got 10000 likes for a post. XYZ has so many followers... so what? How did the company get more revenue or a bigger lead pipeline with their social media channels? *crickets chirping* If anything this could finally bring respect back to real marketers+ since there are so many "social media experts" out there that don't know a thing about marketing a company or its products effectively. To me, that's a good thing - a great thing in fact - if it continues.

Lasik cost
Helps them save costs while looking good don’t see what’s the issue . Doubt if ice cream revenue streams are affected. People will eat more junk now.
