Meaning annual goals for what percentage of employees should be managed out. NOT stack ranking used for bonus distribution. I'll start: Amazon
Microsoft
Isn't Facebook doing two low ratings in a row -> fired instead?
Enron
Amazon. Even heard from a manager: "we gotta keep people on their feet". And it IS stack ranking. HR dances around it for changing the naming, but that's what it is in the end. People that do meet the expected criteria, that never delays deliverables and etc, but still gets labeled as low performers because managers have to meet an arbitrary %, they start comparing with others peers and stack ranking for minor stupid stuff. Killing diversity, normalizing people towards high delivery at all costs (long hours). They just want cogs for their machine and the price of attrition is an expected and irrelevant one on the mid/long term.
