I am fairly new to blind and RSU based compensation. I have been working with .net/c#/azure for a long time. While it should be simple to switch to Java, I think productivity would be slow initially. Hence, looking for companies that have .net tech stack and offer RSUs.#engineering #software #swe
msft but why don’t you want to switch to different stack? don’t think it will slow you that much
I was thinking that specialization in one area provides a niche advantage but doesn't seem to be the case.
.net is not a niche

I would appreciate if you could provide some insight on hiring process?
Pretty standard, similar to any other tech company. Is there anything in particular you're wondering about?

It's team, level, and location reliant, but you can expect the following usually: 1. Recruiter screening (just get to know you) 2. Hiring manager call (similar, maybe some tech chat and background stuff) 3. If they like you, you may be asked to do a code pair or a codility (on your own time) test 4. System design (but it's hardly what you think of actual system design) for about an hour, which mostly is talking through improvements for a piece of code I guess 5. Decision (can be more rounds, some teams will do an on-site at step 4 and then have a decision)
Looks like DocuSign is also a .net based
Yes it is
Would appreciate any insights on hiring process. Leetcode complexity?

Imo specifically go for another more common stack. What better time to learn than the present, else you’ll pigeonhole yourself even more?
Totally agree. I was thinking that specialization in one area provides a niche advantage but doesn't seem to be the case.
