Companies with strong PIP culture?

Amazon is without a doubt the most famous company to have a serious PIP problem. What other companies lurk out there that are big on the PIP? Do they give warnings, severance, only happen at a certain time of year? Apparently it’s a problem at Twilio too

Netflix just fires with good severance right? I like that model tbh. Don't end up with cribbers

Never heard of a single PIP in my 2 years at Twilio

Amazon pipallday Jun 11, 2021

Unless you’re higher up you will never hear about pip because the people who get pipped usually “leave to pursue other opportunities outside of X company”. But no severance PiP? Wow, that’s a first.

Twilio zNXB50 Jun 11, 2021

Yeah twilio has no severance with pip, I know someone who recently got piped, and the pip is pretty much similar to amazon. If you are on pip make sure to pack your bags.

Twilio fkingowl Jun 11, 2021

Basically that person got fired not piped

Twilio zNXB50 Jun 13, 2021

No that person got fired after pip, which is called piped

Twilio mukoto Jun 12, 2021

I have seen around 10 PIPs in last 6-9 months at Twilio. It looks good from outside but can be stressful if your manager is an ass**** or bit**

Twilio qweaszx Jun 12, 2021

wow, which group/BU ?

Twilio twifml Jun 12, 2021

Why do women need to bit**es? Can’t they just be ass****s?

How's Uber?
