Any info on a company "eshares" which recently got renamed as "Carta"? How is the culture, company financial health, company business future? It's a private company so not too much public info available. Company is based in Palo Alto.
Found it. It’s 8:30am. https://medium.com/eshares-blog/eshares-101-e96d792bdc69
Correct. I am aware of that. I was hoping to get some actual experiences of people who have worked there, or people who know other people who have worked there and can provide insight into how the culture is. I personally am not a big fan of this 8:30 regiment and also they have little to no flexibility in remote work. Most workforce are millennials so probably single and little to no domestic obligations whereas I have 2 young kids and have tremendous flexibility in my current position. Being offered a 25% raise in base so just contemplating if it is worth giving up the flexibility.
25% isn’t worth it. If you interview at salesforce I bet you can get a 40% bump. I worked at hpe so I know it’s wayyy behind in comp. Salesforce is fucking awesome for people with kids too. Lemme know if you wanna interview
I interviewed. Waste of time. It looked like a cult, they super super low balled me (like half of my current compensation, where I'd told them I'm already happy at current job and want more). Super mediocre slap a Django on the DB basic web app shop. You can do better
Funny you said "Cult" as that's the exact word I used to explain to my wife after my interview. Weird things I have observed is that you have to take your shoes off when going in and they only hire on 11th of every month. No issues here with compensation as they offered a base 25% more than my current base.
Deck is garbage 😂
The company is based in Palo Alto and SF. Those are the two main offices, but they also have offices in Seattle, salt lake City, NYC and Rio. They apparently believe in lots of small offices. For an early stage company with just a couple of hundred employees it seems like a lot of extra overhead.
How about seattle office?
Culture is bullshit
Its an amazing culture! There are s ok me bad apples but they're few. If you work hard and believe in the company, sky is the limit!
I believe they are the one that had a culture deck that says everyone has to get there for meetings at 8am.
