This topic started in the Uber channel but I’ve decided to bring this outside since I want to know if your company has ever sent an email to all employees to not displaying company’s logo in public or not? At Uber it’s quite common (and frequent) for us to receive those emails especially when there are drivers protesting outside the building. There’s even an active shooter training (which i think is useful by the way) offered to employees. Some said that it’s pretty common for ‘interesting’ companies to encourage that. If your company does the same, can you let me know which company and why? Thanks
Yea, I don't want someone to pay me a visit and smash me up with a hammer: https://www.zdnet.com/article/75-year-old-woman-smashes-up-local-comcast-office-with-hammer/
Not here, and we've also had protesters outside our offices.
No protestors outside our offices. 😉😉
Same at FB. When I was at goog they only started taking this seriously after someone actually shot people at youtube. I think it’s very responsible of Uber to do this for you.
We’re an ITAR site, wearing badges outside of work is a no no per our policy
Amazon does this too whenever protesters are outside the building. I think it’s wise to avoid potential situations, so I usually comply.
There was a protest at FB office , and I stood with them for a few minutes wearing a FB t shirt. The protesters were excited, and I too was happy that I I didn’t let my employer tell me what I did in my personal time. A few employees gave me dirty looks, but nothing came out of it!

You cannot take a picture of your badge photo (with or without company logo) and post it to social media. Otherwise you gotta face “disciplinary actions”.
Funny I’ve seen employees use a picture of their badge as a profile pic on LinkedIn.
I guess that’s what the badge policy says? Maybe LinkedIn is more like a “professional network”? I didn’t even bother getting a perfect badge photo after they had told me that
