Which one would you prefer? What has been your experience?
It does count. Once an SF based company treated me like shit in the interviews. I voted with my wallet and took my personal business to the competitor.
have never tried compass. redfin clone or has new tricks?
I work in the industry. Personally, I'd go Compass. Redfin may be cheaper (if you buy using one of their agents) but Compass agents are almost always more qualified.
Could you elaborate more? I thought Compass expand business by buying local brokerage and that to me doesn't necessary mean more qualified. But maybe there are things that I've missed. I'm not into the industry long enough to tell the difference. Thank you.
Speaking from our growth / expansion org, we work to bring on the most experienced agents in a local market who have the deepest local relationships / connections & listings. We work to support these agents in areas they typically haven’t been - esp. with marketing, an in-house tech stack & customer programs (I.e. Concierge - fronting money for improvements to the property to increase the end sale price for the client at 0% and no fees) From a buyer’s perspective, those experienced agents bring exclusive inventory that can only be found on Compass.com. Great! More eyeballs to Compass. From a seller’s perspective, you’re working with the best, most experienced agents in a local market who can provide financial programs and marketing to sell your home for the maximum value. Great! More listings to Compass agents. Highly simplified, but TL;DR is that we target the most productive, well-liked agents in any market. Sometime’s that’s an individual & sometimes that’s a brokerage. My job would be so much easier if we could just buy agents, but that’s not what leads to a profitable business model.
Why just these two. That makes no sense. I am a broker that is smarter, cheaper, more experienced, etc.
How would I know about you?
Redfin cause compass rejected me for a job :(
Doesn't count
