I have 15 years experience and I have been offered a Director level position at BNY Mellon in the digital transformation initiative. They have clearly made a low offer and are expecting me to negotiate. What sort of compensation do others have in this position?
300k
Howâs jet? Was considering an offer from store no 8
Really awesome people! however there is lack of central technological vision. Also there is competition from all the sub companies within Walmart: wmt labs Jet etc
Anyone from BNY Mellon here?
Yeah, in general the pay is said to be low and the health care package is meh. Thereâs also a hell of a lot of layoffs right now and the CIO has openly talked about pruning large numbers of employees. My own observations: thereâs so much red tape at the bank that itâs really hard to innovate. Anything daring you may volunteer for is going require stuff filled out in triplicate months in advance, but youâll still be held accountable to a daring sort of schedule defined in deadlines a lot sooner. And since theyâve cut IT operations support staff by insane levels, expect long turnaround times waiting for any computers that breaks on you or your team to be repaired. If youâre between jobs, take the job. But Iâd say itâs not a place Iâd risk giving up a secure job on the promised payoff of âan amazing opportunityâ.
If you are in between jobs, then accept it. Otherwise please continue your search. Massive waves of layoffs are coming. Firm is in cost cutting mode. There are much better firms out there.
Negotiate up? WTF
What was the offer?
$250k for M level
Is this for nyc?
Did you accept the job and do you like it?
Whatâs the offer. Duh
