I have 15 years experience and I have been offered a Director level position at BNY Mellon in the digital transformation initiative. They have clearly made a low offer and are expecting me to negotiate. What sort of compensation do others have in this position?

My own observations: there’s so much red tape at the bank that it’s really hard to innovate. Anything daring you may volunteer for is going require stuff filled out in triplicate months in advance, but you’ll still be held accountable to a daring sort of schedule defined in deadlines a lot sooner. And since they’ve cut IT operations support staff by insane levels, expect long turnaround times waiting for any computers that breaks on you or your team to be repaired.
If you’re between jobs, take the job. But I’d say it’s not a place I’d risk giving up a secure job on the promised payoff of “an amazing opportunity”.
Also there is competition from all the sub companies within Walmart: wmt labs Jet etc
