Lots of companies have gotten tax breaks with new taxes and eventually given the benefits to their employees. Vmware did not give anything? What about other companies?
I’f the tax break breaks were meant for the workers it’s be called a tax credit for everyone. It’s for the business owners: ie the shareholders.

it may not be evident, but I'm a manager and have seen dramatic pay increases between 2017 and 2018 calendar year. Just saying :)
Companies like Apple gave stocks, BofA gave 1000$, Verizon 50 restricted stocks - that’s what I am aware of...
