How much is someone worth salary wise if they have strong sales experience, AWS Solutions Architecture Certications, and below average coding experience but no degree.
Try Chief Security Officer and get millions
Technical Sales Analyst/Engineer and ultimately grow into either Solutions Architecture or Product Mgmt
A degree is typically in the job requirements as table stakes. You won't even be considered regardless without one.
This isn't a true statement. Read the fine print of the role you are applying for. Most times it will say XXX degree or XXX equivalent years of experience. You'll still get looked at if you have the required experience.
Yah, completely false statement. I am now working at my 3rd fortune 100 org, making well over 6 figs, no degree.. got an offer from MS a couple years ago as well. Degree is just a piece of paper at the end of the day.. if you don't have experience or ability, no degree is going to save you. Great employees come from all walks of life.
Ask fo as much as you want. Jobs, Gates, Winfery, Truman... I could go on and on. What you can do matters, not the degree. Ask for the same if not more money because you have real world skills, not homework skills.
Are you going to be doing the same work as others?
Depends on the role. What are you applying for, I would not hire you in a legal position.
