Confession , need a company that doesn’t pip
I have only gotten below average ratings all my life at work, not sure why but I am just not a people person and definitely diplomacy is above me , I also don’t like to work on something I don’t like no matter what. I always deliver and then some thing happens and my impression goes down the drain. I am also very growth focussed so I don’t stick In a company if i don’t see no promotion for two years so almost all companies I want a company that doesn’t pip me I just want a secure but high paying job, my last company my team was doing great but my director thought I as a manager am not doing well because some one in PM team said something negative about the team. I always deliver but perception around me is always negative. I am tired of this creating positive perception mentality. Two times let go, two time below average rating and one time I only stayed for short period and it was good. Is there a company that doesn’t pip you ?

High paying demands high output. High output leads to high expectations. When there are high expectations there will always be PIP. You can't have it both no matter how good the company is. You have to make a choice; it's a free country with at will employment
any large tech companies have some form of pip.

If the perception of you is always negative and you are fired or get low ratings, you need to work on your performance not find some magical company.

You admitted that you're a low performer. Why would somebody from VMware willingly invite you in? Government is where it's at. Especially defense contractors since pay is not terribly bad.

Its not them, its you. Become an entrepreneur or work on improving your skills and become a better manager / IC.
