Let’s say I’m currently working on the Hullahoop product area at Google in Europe and I interviewed with the Hullahoop product area at Amazon in the US.

Would it be considered conflict of interest if I joined Amazon Hullahoop?

I can’t find anything in my current contract addressing this. Also, my current contract doesn’t mention “Hullahoop” anywhere, it’s just generic “Google”.

Companies hire top personnel from competitors all the time. Generally they don't expect you to spill trade secrets, but they will make you put your experience to good use for sure.

If you are not bringing in any company secrets and propriety information, non-complete are largely not legally binding.

  • If you trade secrets yes, else not. If you lower on food chain at hullahoop nobody cares.
