with the continuous use of coding assessment in software engineering jobs and/or internships, what do you think about the coding assessment platforms: HackerRank or Leetcode? Why and why not? Which one was more beneficial during your job and/or internship preparation?
Leetcode just gets straight to the point. Hacker rank has really confusing questions. This makes it really hard to figure out what the actually problem is.
Hackerrank is great if you want to read essays for problem statements.
Hackerrank is good for general beginner practice. Leetcode better for interviews. But my favorite interview prep site is Interview Cake
Hackerrank VS the guy she tells you not to worry about
FWIW, my Google recruiter reached out to me through my HackerRank profile based on how I performed in live competitions on the site.
Hang out a little longer here and you'll see LC everywhere
The problem with hackerrank is you have spend so much time reading shit in crazy formats via stdin. Ain't nobody got time for that. (And in actual codebases you'll have methods that give your variables, for the most part)
Cleared 6 interview purely on LC.. most questions on every single company came from LC (including Google, Fb, MS etc etc
Leetcode has a lot more problems, people talking and commenting on each problem, and companies will literally pull questions directly from leetcode and use the original or a tweaked version for interviews.
