Any former or current Facebook peeps who can tell me a little more about a typical TPM role at Facebook? Is the TPM in the engineering track because of the T? I have seen TPM role described as “most hated” role, some described it as a “coordinator”, others seem to describe much wider influence. Thanks!
Tpm at Facebook is a joke. There is no technical requirements. It's a glorified project manager role. It is not respected and not rewarded well at all. Run for the hills and litteraly go work for any other company if you want any sort of technical challenge
I have been pondering this for a while. A product manager role sounds like a better fit.
It's basically project management
