Consulting companies

I feel that the consulting companies are still thriving only because of healthcare/pharma firms.
99% of pharma firms needs revolve around analysts, who know how to work with excel. And consulting firms hire a bunch of cheap labor just to provide these firms some excel monkeys

Why can’t pharma companies hire their own analysts that know excel?
