Consulting to data

I am a Manager in one of the Big4 and feel an urgency to be more data oriented. Eventually, I want to move to the Valley in the tech sector. Any suggestions on how I can begin to learn new skills? I was looking at roles from General Assembly but was not sure if that would help. Looking for some guidance

Pick a project and start writing code.

Thanks...yep - doing that. Tried volunteer projects as well. However, could nlt get a call for a role - most firms were looking for prior experience. Maybe networking in the valley helps?

Post on your project on github if you haven’t. Reach out to your consulting connections and they might be able to help.

What’s the TC of a big 4 manager anyway? I’m curious.

EY has been posting a ton on data science recently, why don't you switch to that team?
