Hello
After a family member passed away, I started having morbid thoughts, motivation and performance issues. I was interviewing at the time so I signed with an employer but started having anxiety and doubts about my performance and thought I will get pipped during probation. I don't know how fmla and loa etc work when you are new so I did the shameful renege.

I am working with my therapist and we are targetting recovery by summer and I plan to hit the job market. Should I reach out to this reneged company? I might be on nohire list.

I can share employer name but idk if that will help...

Take care of yourself dude and ask that you need a month or so before you join because you planned a vacation or whatever.

If you push too hard you’ll add to your trauma and work will only be associated with the trauma you experienced.

    Hope you recover swiftly!

I already did that and recruiter said that they will move forward with others. I guess my question is when I plan on hitting job market again should I contact them?
Family member passing has been a while but some problems I am having are lingering so I was worried about performance when I would be new.

Ask the recruiter if you can reach out to them directly if a new opportunity is available at a better time. No harm in asking and it’s best to work with the recruiter directly who already knows your capacity.

Right now you’re hard on yourself given what you’ve experienced. Just do your best and focus on the goal, don’t worry about performance issues unless someone does actually say you need to improve.
