Since most contract staffing agencies do not have dedicated HR departments, do contract workers have any recourse in cases of workplace issues/abuse? This arrangement seems like a breeding ground for sweeping bad behavior under the rug and simply “terminating a contract,” when abuse claims are more than the company wants to deal with. Would love to hear about any issues you’ve seen or dealt with personally.
Contracting sucks I do it now you don't get paid much more and you get no vacation or sick or shit all .
I think your host company is responsible for preventing sexual harassment and discrimination on their worksite.
They should be responsible for preventing these things, but I think the easier path is to get rid of contract workers who have these kinds of complaints than it is to fix the core problem. Seems like a racket to me.
