I currently have two years of experience in the industry as a SDE, and at working on a one year contract at Samsung. My recruiter recently mentioned that she may have been able to get me a better rate, since she was inexperienced with negotiating with the client. Is it too late for me to attempt renegotiating the rate / asking for a raise? I’ve been told that I’m a high performer, and the manager enjoys working with me, so I have that going for me. However, I’m only about three months into the contract, so I don’t want to seem too straightforward. If it makes a difference, I will likely be searching for positions at another company in a few months, but am content with the work thus far on my team, since long term career goals wouldn’t be what I’m currently working on.
How big of a difference in rates?

Generally, yes, too late. Better luck on next contract negotiations.
