I was wondering what type of commuter benefits other companies in the Bay were giving out; when I worked for Amazon in Seattle, we had an unlimited public transit pass and I think we could get a pretty sizable amount of parking money back (idr how much cuz I never used it), but in the bay Amazon only gives you a choice of like $130 to split between parking and public transit or I think just a monthly Caltrain pass, and I was wondering how that compared to other companies here Edit: $130 is a post-tax amount Also, I work for Lab126, so if you work in a different subsidiary of Amazon and have different commuter benefits, please feel free to share
At Pivotal it's different on a per-office basis but I believe our Bay Area folks get $300/mo.
Pre-tax commute deductions from payroll is the most common.
We used to get $500/month now we get $300 but after something like $260 you get taxes
$100/mo. @ fuseproject
What are you talking about, we get $240/mo on a wage works card that's good on Clipper and several parking options, and Uber pool.
Amazon in Bay Area offers CalTrain Go pass, valid for unlimited rides, 365 days/year. That is in addition to the $130. Lot of people I know, use that $130 towards CalTrain parking and ride for free.
I didn’t know we could get a Caltrain pass in addition to the $130
I'm not sure if it's an AWS thing or Amazon as a whole, but definitely you get both in AWS at least. The reason I doubt it could be AWS is that I had to get my CalTrain pass from SJC15 Palo Alto and not from SJC10 Sunnyvale.

Shopify employees : Are you good?? They're pitting you against each other? wtf
“Sizable amount”? 😆 It’s only $160/month, which pays for 7 days each month ($21/day).
I think that would be enough to cover a monthly pass at a garage? That’s also more than enough to street park every day, though that would be a stressful lifestyle
