Corporate credit card late fees
IS THIS COMMON? i have to have a company card bc i travel for work. had an issue with a recipt so i submitted my expense report late and now have a late fee on my account. the company is saying I need to pay the $30 out of my own personal bank account and NOT get reimbursed for the payment. well it took me so long to realize that i had a late fee i will now have another charge next month. thats $60 out of MY pocket for having a credit card to make my companies live eaiser when they make me travel for work- like i would def not have accepted a credit card if I knew this would be an unnesassary expense i have to pay. basically if this is the case im going to just use my own card that has auto pay, get the credit points and just submit recipts bc i dont need to be paying that.
Company should pay for late fee..
It is literally your fault. You said YOU submitted late. YOU didn't check and notice the fee. Why is the company at fault here?
Because I get on fucking planes for them to do shit they don’t want to do themselves, the least they could do is pay for a fucking $30 late fee.
If you cant handle the reimbursement policy, dont do the travel. Either go work somewhere that doesn't require it or tell them you are no longer able/willing to travel.
This is why I cancelled my corporate Amex card (and also cancelled my personal Amex because fuck them). Late fees and you don’t get points/rewards. Why would you use one? If there is one short for the next recession I would recommend, it’s Amex.
I screwed up and was trying to be responsible and charge dinner/alcohol from the hotel as personal so the company wouldnt pay for my booze even though I know people who expense alcohol). Didnt get any warnings or strikes and they cut my card off. I get it my bad but I was trying to be responsible and frugal. Guess it's better to call a bar tab "coffee/snacks" instead of personal.
Wtf. What is with companies? Like you are using us to travel on your behalf and you decided to be finicky about corporate card shit? Like it’s an expense. They will write it off- why do they care?
