I have a senior SWE offer from each for ~$300k. Where should I go?

Also, I haven't done any negotiating yet. How much more do you think I can get?

YoE: 8+
TC: ~$190k

Stock will 4x from here. If you get the stock at 80 per share, just go for it.

I love Coursera, it changed my life literally. If you work there you know that you work for a company that provides real value to humanity.
I would seriously consider to work for them if I had the chance.

Nice, i am planning to switch to MLE too. Any course you would recommend that’s more hands on and you liked most? There is one course with highest reviews on Udemy that I am doing right now but it feels like very basic course.

Andrew Ng is the rockstar of ml teaching, never seen someone making you learn so difficult concepts so easily and do deeply. So I would start from his classic Machine Learning course and then continue with his derp learning offering. He created a separate website for those but it is still Coursera, I believe.

I don’t understand how big banks haven’t explored UPST’s model. This feels like EVs disrupting dinosaur automakers

I'd say yes but our pay just isn't up there compared to some other companies. Still not bad, you can expect 250k for mid level and it's purely remote but you won't be getting 350k at mid level here. Even looking at Blind reviews, compensation is only at 4.2 compared to everything else which has an average of 4.6. Stock also not doing too well right now. It's not a place to be if your goal is to minmax TC, but pretty good for wanting good TC, remote work and being in fintech. The other issue is path to advancement, don't believe we really have paths for people above Senior/Engineering Manager but that's also cause we have grown too fast. We'll probably have more positions above Senior/Engineering Manager eventually.

If average mid level SWE was making 300k here though, I'd say it's one of the best companies to work for.
