I just went through Amazon interview loop for L5. One of the craziest experiences I ever had. I was getting about 5 emails from Amazon recruiters every week and I decided to entertain one for Practiceš¤£. Went through the Phone Screen. Was asked 1 question here - The easiest question I ever had to solve in any of the phone screens I ever had to take (A little more complex than a Hello World Program for reference). A day after my Phone Screen recruiter asked me for my availability for Onsite. A couple of days before my onsite this recruiter sent me an email from his personal Gmail account a few questions(SD and LC) that the Interviewers plan to ask me during the interview (I literally got the same questions - exact wording)š. A few days after my onsite they gave me an offer which I promptly rejected(Was around 300k). I am pretty sure this was probably a hire to fire kind of a scenario. Not sure if anyone else experienced this before. They are getting very desperate. Blind Tax: 220k/3YOE Edit: Looks like this got sent out to a bunch of people, please stop asking me for recruiters email, I won't share itš āāļø.
But how would they even have that kind of information?
At Meta it's suggested but not required that we input our questions ahead of time. It's a relatively recent change that way supposed to improve fairness somehow

I didn't know that either lol. The recruiter did say he spoke to the Interviewers and in his email he had names before questions (This guy will ask this question). And that's what happened!

Attach a screen shot of the email. Remove. Personal information I want to see. I m 100% confident you are lying. Prove me wrong. Because if the recruiter did this she/he is jeopardizing his/her job

1. Regarding onsite, If this actually happened and if this comes to light, that recruiter will not just be fired, but might face some other legal actions due to unethical practices. 2. Regarding phone screen, if it was in fact that easy, then something looks to be fishy about this position. 3. 300k looks to be a low offer with respect to the recent SDE2 offers. This number can go much higher even if you are planning to utilize it for negotiations with other companies.
