According to Blind the correct answer is Google and the wrong answer is Amazon. Everything in between is meh.
😂
Both are the best fintech startups to work for in India. I would like to pitch for CRED. If building non-trivial fintech products and doing a lot of experimentation excites you then come to CRED. Here you will get all the freedom you want to build the products. Extremely high ownership environment. Company culture and benefits are one of the best in the country. Whenever you will go out of CRED you will no longer be only an Engineer. CRED will make you learn so much about products and customers that will benefit you for the rest of your career. Also, CRED ESOP are not paper money. We have ESOP buybacks at least once a year.
Cred gunda-care to explain why there is no linear vesting in cred. Styassas- go ahead with razorpay, They have great culture in the engineering teams. The product is already established and they have great wlb from what I have heard. Companies with non linear vesting don’t care about your wealth creation , they just want to keep you on the hook.
@misplaced - Razorpay has had a buyback to accompany every major round of funding(4 thus far). And no, there is no such cliff.
@gklq37, thanks for pointing out. Deleted my comment. (The info I shared was from an internal employee. I'm guessing he might be wrong then). In that case OP can decide based on what the ESOP strike price is, and by confirming the chances of a buyback from the company in the coming 4 years.
My friend said that, at Razorpay they are doing work in PHP... Anyways, he left after a week and got a better opportunity
@OP what did you choose?
There has been a huge culture decline after razorpay lowered its engineering bar this year. Not worth joining.
