Hello blinders,
I am planning to purhase an apartment in India for parents. Already transferred cash via bank transfer. I am still short by 20k. I have a credit card with 0 apr for 15 months on purchases. The landlord doesn't accept credit cards. Is there any possible way to pay with this credit card internationally without it showing up as cash advance?

Use Credit Card to buy VISA/AMEX Gift Card, Use the Gift Card to at Western Union to Transfer the money

You may have to do it in multiple batches

Xoom.. You can send upto 50k or 100k if you call them up and give them more details. Else you can send 6k.

  I mean i need to utilize by credit card to send $20k. I see that i can use my credit card on xoom to transfer but it would show up as cash advance which is very expensive. My 0% apr is only for purchases

What you want is a balance transfer option. If it offers 0% for x number of months there is still a small fee. You can transfer all at once to your account and you’re done. 0% purchases and 0% balance transfers aren’t the same thing so you’ll have to check.
