How is Criteo nyc as a company for Product management. Also how is the company culture and senior management?
If it’s going to be in Palo Alto, run away if you’re not a Russian
I'm really curious, what's the problem with Russians? Language problems? Cultural differences? Disclaimer: looking for job in Europe anyway.
From my time at Criteo (5+ years) Product management is very much centralized out of Europe, but being in NY is much better than being on the west coast for product. There have been previous product roles based out of the west coast that were not set up for success. Company culture is excellent, they really strive to make all offices fun, inviting & a place you brag to your friends about (it’s no google, FB or Dropbox) but perks are there! Senior management is dependent on department from what I have heard, but the C-levels at the top have been solid though some changes. I do agree with other posters that re-targeting in general is on its way out, but the solution has evolved passed this as of late.
The VP of Product is actually in Palo alto. The "russian threat" is a bit overblown. There are under 10% of Russians in the office, nothing close to Indians or Chinese or French. So stop this BS. The company does go thru a transition trying hard to grow the non-retargeting business. The jury is still out on that one...
Hey can I now join the Palo Alto office? Don’t see openings anymore
Said VP quit. Palo Alto office also shut down. They are doubling down on basing Eng out of Michigan. No Eng anywhere else in US.
Product has turned over and re-org'd multiple times in the past few years. Run away! No one is left in NYC except for 2 junior PMs.
I'd be more worried about Criteo's long-term business prospects. Remarketing is dying on Apple devices with ITP2
