I was approached by a Cruise recruiter for a position, and I'm trying to figure out if this is something worth pursuing. Here are some general questions: 1. Stability - How stable is Cruise? Is there a lot of turnover? Are you in fear of losing your job for some reason? 2. Resume Boost - Would moving to Cruise be better for me resume than staying at Yelp? 3. Compensation - I've seen some posts on blind about offers approaching 400k TC with ~4 years experience. Is 400k typical? What would the typical breakdown be for a ~4 year experience offer? Is there a signing bonus offered? Are there equity refreshers? 4. Culture - Does cruise have a startup type culture? What is the engineering quality like? How is work life balance? Is it a cutthroat environment? Is there free food? 5. Interview Difficulty - How intense are the interviews relative to FANG and the like?

Following cause curious
1) stable and growing quickly right now. Haven't seen any job loss except for the executive team for fit issues. But time will tell. 2) that's up to you. All I can say is that we're building the future and we use a lot of machine learning and computer vision and hardware. 3) 4 years is probably IC3, aka lower senior. I don't totally know the comp there. 4) yes, startuppy. Haven't seen much bureaucracy (yet). Opinions of engineering quality varies but some of my teammates have raved about how much better it is here than it was in their former companies. I personally don't have enough experience to comment on it. Not cutthroat. People are nice. Most of us are newbies. The old guard has a lot of inside jokes on slack but you'll pick them up in time. Free food - YES. Free lunch, dinner, and (vegan) snacks. 5) easier than FANG. Similar to other unicorns imo, with some teams asking questions very closely resembling what they actually work on (so physics and vector calculus, etc.) Good luck
I am going onsite soon for cruise, so do I need to review any vsctor calc or physics knowledge?
And could you elaborate more on the compensation? I have seen references to PSUs. It would nice to see some more examples of base/rsu/signing/psu breakdowns
