TC? Base? Base + bonus? Office?
Cruise tends to pay these days very competitive salaries. This is how they are able to recruit people from G/FB and the likes. However, do you really want to join them ? Here is a small tip: go read everything you can about the negative aspects of Amazon's and FB's culture. Now imagine them combined under one roof top and you get Cruise. Trust me, I get paid there extremely well, and I'm miserable. Don't join a company (any company) that sells you dreams and pays you tons of money. Join a company that puts emphasis on hiring descent human beings and preaches for a well rounded culture. All the rest will follow.
So far the people I've met from those places don't represent those cultures at all, and the toxic individuals come from other locations. It's odd. It probably varies by Dept. I've noticed that company wide culture is pretty impressive
Cruise doesnโt pay a ton of money. The pay is less 20% than Facebook and only 70% in cash.
Too much for someone with so little work experience.
What about 5 yoe/deep learning/computer vision for autonomous driving?
$400-450k TC, I've heard
That's with paper money included?
400k base. 1.1million stocks. And free Hawaiian holidays.
Don't we have a spreadsheet that can answer this question with a satisfactory level of statical certainty?
Internally I think, not publicly though
Can you do me a favor hon? Open the spreadsheet, compute the average compensation for SWE at Cruise with 1-2 YOE, and post it here as a reply, will you?
What is the compensation range(base/stock/bonus) for Sr. SDE with MS and 9 years of experience.
