Simply DONT join. That’s the best solution. Cruise won’t ipo and is controlled by GM, the strategic direction of launching ride hail and delivery across multiple cities will also die, get converted by GM to launching personal AVs in next 10 years.

That sounds horrible, fuck I hope we have a better culture than Amazon. 🤣🤣🤣 But a lot of senior leadership is from Amazon, and we generally are looking for FAANG folks.
Allegedly, the liquidity plan will be communicated in the next few weeks. If you’re concerned with the paper money up front, I’d try to reduce that and bump up a cash signing bonus. The cash bonus portion here is pretty good. To me, the RSUs are a dice roll at this point. I’d certainly entertain offers from public companies with liquid stock, or pre-IPO companies that have announced their intent to IPO. After I hear the liquidity plan, if it doesn’t make sense, I’m going to move.
What’s the average sign on bonus when you ask for less paper money?
No idea, when I joined there was of course the talk of imminent IPO. If I knew what I know now, I would have asked for more signing bonus and salary.

What is liquidity plan ? Do you actually get Paper money converted to real one ? If so at what price does that happen?
