Frugality is most important leadership principle

Looks like that's the max his manager is giving him.

You may need a neck brace with a 49" monitor. All that swiveling is gonna wear down your vertebra.

Good point.

NVIDIA CyberPunk8 Sep 16, 2020

Not really, the curvature is different based on size.

SAP Kduo32 Sep 7, 2020

Issue with ultra wide monitors is that you start writing 500+ character lines of code

Lol...heard of IDE ?

Google L-Seх Sep 7, 2020

What's an IDE?

I have a 34 at work and a 38 at home. The 38 is far better. Not sure if the 43 or 49 would be too big, but definitely don’t go 34

Thanks!

Have you ever use flat multiple monitors before? What was different with curved 38 inch comparatively?

34” is the sweet spot for me, lots of real estate and fits comfortably on a vesa mounting arm on my desk, but not curved. I had a curved one and it had this kind of odd flare out effect at the edges.

Was it Dell? It has two different curved monitors. First one was slightly curved. Newer is more curved though

LG 34”, 1440p @ 60hz. Bought it 3 years ago, so it might be cheaper now, but was $700 at the time. I exchanged it for the non curved one which was 200 bucks cheaper

I had 34” and now 49”. The latter is way more convenient. That’s wrong that “All that swiveling is gonna wear down your vertebra”. Wide monitor is like a wide desk - you still utilize some area in the center, but in case you need more space it is available and you don’t have to scroll windows to find the one you need.

34 is enough. I think it depends on your desk size as well so keep that in mindI have a 60” wide desk and the 34 curve with a 27 vertical is perfect if not a bit crowded.

Curved monitors are overrated. You don't always need to be buying the latest fad technology.

I am also wondering why we now see 27 inch curved monitor too. It is getting ridiculous

Are you looking for just one 34 or two?
