i have been looking at people interviewing at FB and coming out with an opinion thats the speed-coding contest more than the test of software skillsets.
is that how the pricedure is? can’t comment myself as i failed the phone round. just wondering if trying to getting into FB is worth these days with its low tech bar directly translating to low job security. google however holds a different reputation though in maintaining the standards.

You are expected to : come up with solution, explain it to interviewer, code it and verify it.
At the same time they have “move fast” as one of their company values, so shouldn’t be surprised there.
