im currently in a support consultant role and my passion really is Cyber Security. I’m a big believer in manifestation. I can see the role in front of me. I visualize coming to work and learning something that I have a passion for. Alas I am in Socal and most of the roles require extensive experience or require a 4 year degree. This is a luxuary I was not able to have. I’d really like to push my limits. How can I really get noticed ? What innovative thought do I have to sustain to move up ? #cybersecurity
Cissp? Why would you want that? It's good for manager roles but not for technical roles. Do some good courses which can give you practical knowledge on how security and exploits work. Start with basics, security+ is a good start, but knowing how TCP DNS and other protocols work is very important, so that you can know how it can be exploited. DM me if you want, I am no expert but I myself have been learning incident response from 1.5 years
Check into the OSCP, it’s hard and it will mean something to your future employer.

Get the CISSP which is a requirement on almost all reqs
I failed my security + and plan on working it again. I know that the CISSP is a bit more difficult. I think Sec + is more ideal for me anyways.
Also I have to have 5 years of experience for the CISSP.
