I was on O-1 at a previous company, and got laid off while waiting for EB1, which I realized later, was being used as a bait, keep dragging the process. This messed up all my plans and forced to marry my then girlfriend without any planning. Still married, and happy, but it changed the course of life. I was loyal and a high performing employe. Probably won’t forget the ones that caused this hard time there. Couldn’t even work for 1,5 yrs until I got the work permit after applying for green card thru marriage.

  Yeah, stem extension completed, didn’t get selected in any of the h1b lottery rounds. Amazon is working on the Canada option but it’s going on very very slow
