I have always heard great things about twitter work culture. Sounds like it's not a good thing to be polite to your coworkers at Twitter anymore ? Or is it just much needed change to get the employees to move fast and make more money ?

The good:
- I am not in ML but impressed with the improvements made there.
-Also impressed with smaller product improvements that have been released the past 2 years under CDO. I will give him that.
-Twitter has given us a lot of resources and rest days especially once the pandemic struck.
The bad:
-I found the WLB I signed up for coming from FB but was also met with stifling politics and walls of bureaucracy here.
-Talent is not appreciated as much as managing up and being promoted for doing nothing.
-There is a “we always do it this way” attitude with cliques of old timers who have no idea how to lead or build. My guess is DD tried to change this but executed in a heavy handed way instead of investing in his people.
-The Design team has had an unbelievable attrition rate with weekly goodbye emails for almost a year. Very telling of that org.
-The leadership style mentioned in this article only scratches the surface of more problematic issues by DD and other leads. There exists a front of a woke culture. Look closer and you note a lot of bullying, sexism and unnecessary game of thrones like politics.
