DC Tech Companies
Any solid companies that would match a FAANG comp in Washington, D.C.?

How's the work and culture there? I've seen a few job postings for them. It just felt like I was downgrading a little bit in terms of comp / prestige.
Facebook is here, as is Amazon and Google. You’ll also want to add Microsoft and Salesforce to the mix. Really the big comp I think you’re going to see is if you are in Federal Sales (or supporting them) at these companies. If you have a security clearance that puts you at a big advantage.
What if I'm a developer? Kind of afraid I'll hate sales engineering.
Well there are solution architect gigs. Those I imagine you’ll do quite well in and wouldn’t be doing SE work.
Capital One especially if coming from G will pay for you to keep you happy/poach you I would think.
Theyre all here just not in the capacity that you would think. It seems more sales and support than any product development. This entire area is driven by the government, so if you want to be a lobbyist or something you come to DC, finance you go to NYC, and tech the bay.
