Current: 144k, no bonus currently
Title: Senior Project Engineer
No travel, work from home

New: 151k with bonus eligible, but it’s only a 4% raise :(
New bonus: 6k (4%)
New Title: Lead Project Engineer
New Total (including bonus): 157k
25% travel, otherwise work from home
It’s pretty much project/program manager without the title.

Aerospace & Defense Industry, I have my masters in mechanical engineering & 8 years of experience. From senior to lead I’ll be skipping a level (principal). Im first gen latinx female engineer and I have a mental illness which is why I work from home. I also had my first mental illness episode last year, so I’m also healing from that. The new job will definitely not be 4% impact to my life, hence why I’m considering not taking it. But I want to grow and learn and be excited about my career and I need a change honestly.

Should I take it? Is it too much stress for only 4% annual raise?

I tried to counter but manager is saying salary is non negotiable.

I don't think it's worth it for 4% unless the change in work will benefit your career significantly.

For what it's worth a friend works at The Aerospace Co and she is treated well. She has a TS clearance with poly and I am not sure if your mental health issue would come into play in the clearance process.
