I have two MSc one in applied statistics and one in CS, what do you think I should choose between DS and SDE ? In term of tc and career evolution ?
Not enough degrees, go back for a third masters
Why type of work do you find most motivating? What are you better at?
I really like maths and abstraction, but I'm also good with code and systems design ... All I want is that my work would have an impact on the company I'm working for, you see what I mean ?
I do. I think which will have the potential for bigger impact will depend on the company. For example the most impactful quant at a quant hedge fund is probably way more important then the most impactful SWE. At most tech firms SWEs are typically more impactful. There are exceptions to this of course. A good heuristic to use might be to see what types of people are at the top leadership positions in the company
DSs are nothing but glorified data analysts; stick to SWE.
That's true at Facebook but might not be true else where
Are ML jobs also glorified shit ?
