Riot Games Comp?

Considering interviewing with Riot Games and couldn’t find much accurate or recent information on compensation.

Anybody at Riot willing and able to share any details? This is for an engineering role.

    Comp is similar to a top tier startup, probably the highest you will find outside of FAANG in LA.

    If you don't play League of Legends a lot, they won't even interview you.

      I have been hearing this exact phrase for five years now, and yet every time Riot reaches out to me, I say...

      So I hear that you don't require your employees to play League of Legends anymore. I just want to make sure, because I don't. And then the recruiter says, oh, this probably doesn't make sense to move forward.

      This happened as recently as 10 months ago. And it's happened at least 4 times in the last 5 years...

    • that's actually very weird. I'll follow up with some recruiters I'm in touch with but especially in the most recent interviewer training they specifically emphasize not to assume a background in games.

  • Share your YoE and we can probably hit you with an estimate. Also recruiters are required to give you bands if you ask for them!
