As a single guy age 25-30, how much should I expect to spend living in SF.

Assume free food during the week at work and living in a studio apt.

No car. Work pays for Lyft to from work.

Tc 205. Yoe 1

Folks, the question isn’t asking for TC. It speaks to expenses.

    Rent - $2k-$3k
    Weekend food - $200
    Entertainment/dating - $500
    Random stuff - ?

as u can see, I don’t expect expenses to be more than 60k/year unless u buy lots of useless shit, expensive clothes, party hard.

    Remainder should go into investments/savings

  • Lmao, free food at work, free commute?!

You’ll be fine lmao. I spend like 40k a year (more than half is towards rent). And I have to pay for my own food and commute! I end up going out every weekend and then some on weekdays too! People voting 100k+ are wild. You either have EXPENSIVE tastes or are just plain bad with money lol, or just don’t live in SF

Rent wouldn’t be more than 3K for a studio and food + transportation is basically free for you … so probably 40-60K depending on how much you spend on weekends
