Because you're considered salary, they offer that OT because they know you work way more than 40/wk. 50 is the basic expectation. They don't have to offer it at all because of America's awful labor laws, so they low ball you saying, at least it's something. Once you hit Sr. Associate you don't get ot at all but keep your hours.

    • OT stops at senior associate. Analysts and junior assoc get 0.5 pay for all OT, believe that's for everything over 40

  • Take Deloitte. GS Ops is the worst job ever.

I used to work at GS and the SLC office is not even close to NYC in terms of exit opps. Consider taking it if you want to do nothing with your life and build a not transferable skillset.

Between. I wouldn’t come to acceleration center since you have better options. Folks in the AC are not respected by those in Core and are treated like second class. FYI work at Columbia AC

    • Interesting, that was my worry too tbh. Was told on the phone "keep in mind, we are part of the Big4." Like really? That's how you try to convince people to join..

Well it’s obvious from the pay difference btw PwC AC and PwC Core. Why not join Deloitte since you joining the Core Deloitte and not a place like PwC AC where resources are used for profitability margin

  • Where are you located currently? For me, Big D would be preferred based on location and compensation.

I agree w what Marz35 said - go into Core cause the move out of AC will be a challenge & if Deloitte is offering core - that is the better route. What type of tech group are you referring to? Tech consulting?

    • Currently an intern. Also finished up interviews for other places in finance, EV, and tech so may want to see if those offers come through. What are your thoughts on negotiating offers as an undergrad hire? Trying to see what is negotiable.

If you have competing offers that’s a plus but you most likely won’t have a ton of wiggle room with the Big 4. They’ll keep you aligned with your peers, level of experience, line of service and market. You may be able to squeeze a couple thousand more if you get an offer higher but they won’t blow you away w a counter (in my opinion).

What is your timeline to make decisions?
