What interesting corporate things are happening in Dallas? I know Toyota recently opened an office building in the Plano area. What else is going on?
Capital One in Plano. IBM in Addison. Southwest Airlines and Hunt Oil in Dallas
I've heard rumors we're exiting Plano this year
Idk about that, maybe Wilmington
yo seriously?
Jacobs just relocated it's corporate headquarters from Pasadena to Dallas.
Liberty Mutual, State Farm - new Plano facilities
FedEx
There’s a big list of recently moved there and there is always Halliburton and Texas Instruments for big employers already there.
McKesson Corporate HQ moving to Irving
There are a few startups here and there in the DFW but most of the money here is in commercial real estate and oilgas, so the tech culture is weak. Austin is slightly stronger due to ex Prodigy folks with money, but it's still weak in comparison to, say, Chicago. That said, Capital One and Toyota Connected are fun and in great areas. Microsoft and AWS have offices here, too.
How is Chicago better than Dallas?
