Data Analyst moved to Data Analytics Lead role

I am an industrial engineer that has been working as a Data Analyst using mostly complex SQL and Tableau visualizations to introduce Data analytics to outdated manufacturing operations. because of this, i have been moved into a tech lead role to incorporate analytics into other phases of the business. I have typically been in the business side with strong experiences in operations as an SME, but now I’m leading an IT team and feel underqualified. i am up for the challenge though. what can i do/learn to become more comfortable in this tech lead position? i have begun learning python for analytics but so far it looks like the analysis and visualizations we require are done far simpler using tableau

Imposter syndrome is a real thing. Just chill. You know your domain and you can spot problems your team will face quickly and this will guide you well. Python is a cool tool, but it is different from SQL. Next time you have a problem, solve it with SQL and Tableau. Then do it again with Python. Then ask "what could I have also done with Python?".
