Next year is my last year in college and I can't figure out in which field I would like to pursue a career after my last year. Last week I finished my first Data Science internship doing Machine Learning work and know that I don't want to do ML anymore. What I like about the Data Science aspect is SQL, analyzing data but also programming but I don't like to build dashboards, doing ML and I'm also not very good at math. From a Software Engineering perspective, I like to write code, building stuff and I'm doing my minor after the summer in Computer Science but can't seem to figure out if this would be a good choice. Something that I also find important is the entry barrier. Any advice if I should transition from Data Science to Software Engineering? #swe #datascience #software #engineering

This is a no brainer. Do SWE. Many many more SWE jobs around compared to DS jobs. With so many DS people sloshing around competing for a small number of well paying roles, pretty soon a PhD will be a requirement. OTOH, you can always find good work as a SWE.
