is the data scientist, analytics position at fb more of data analytics than data science? thanks!
I find most Data Science positions are more Analytics than Science. Unless it's a position at a RAND or some sort of think tank.

Nah, I will be posting a Data Scientist position soon and whenever I start scanning Indeed for what people are posting. The roles are akin to more of a Data Engineer or Data Architect. Many hiring managers look at data scientist as monolith that basically could be anything.
Analytics
Also as an aside. We need to stop calling Data Scientist a "tech job"
Why?
Because a Data Scientist could be a Biostatician studying how population has evolved all the way to a Google Fellow doing Machine Learning. The position is much broader than Tech. Especially since when hiring a Data Scientist your usually look for Math and Stats Majors.
