Hi! I have a technical interview with Facebook for a Data Scientist position in product in a couple weeks through a vid call and I was hoping I could get some tips for it. The interview will consist of a technical portion, then a SQL portion, and then questions. What are some general SQL questions they would ask? I am most worried about the analytical portion since I have 0 clue what they would even ask. Any information would be greatly appreciated! #facebook #datascientist
I hear the questions on Glassdoor are pretty representative. For SQL, know basic joins and sub queries, updating tables, deleting duplicates, etc. Unfortunately, for DS, you won’t get much help here. I have seen numerous posts by people wanting exactly what you’re posting, but generally people don’t reply. So I have a suggestion for you: when you go through your interview, how about you take the time and post interview questions (technical, product sense, behavioral, etc.) to help many others in the community. I think people would highly appreciate it! Best of luck to you. Keep us posted.
Will do! These apps work only when everyone pitches in
similar problem here, I don't know if I should do regular LC easy/medium for technical part. I did all database (SQL) problems on LC.
I have asked several times and haven't gotten any response within DS :(
Stick to the resources email the recruiter must have sent you
Do you have any vague list of resources?
AB testing from Udacity. Product sense questions - Strategies available online Some sql GitHub page is available online which has all versions of sql questions
Hi Can I Ping you? I have my interview in few weeks.
They must be recruiting like crazy for this position, like 3 blind posts a day about it lately. But check out Glassdoor, there’s a ton of ppl posting the q’s there.
Will check that out!! Thanks :)
