With latest $400M funding Databricks is now valued $6B. When do you think the company will IPO and what can be the stock price on being public ?
How the hell can we tell you the stock price without knowing outstanding shares?! Do you have any idea how this all works? Jeez.
Actually I dont know how it works completely. However, if you were in similar boat and had no public idea of outstanding shares and wanted to evaluate the potential upside of IPO what will you do ?
2021 optimistically or 2022 stock price could be anywhere from $30-$100 depending on market trends, any further rounds raised, etc. I'd wager around $50 to see a first day pop and $60+ for more right sized market cap. This assumes more modest growth, increased competition and a choppy economy.
Makes sense. Thankyou
How much are your options worth at this valuation?
now $38B , $220 stock price and soon it will be near $300
$100 billion valuation at IPO ... jk! But seriously we will be $12-20B at IPO.
20b easy or not?
The current buy in value was about $43 per unit as per forgeglobal.com, which I've found to be reliable. This is a bit overvalued for right now imo, but it seems like investors were willing to pay a premium before the IPO train kicked off. Add to that the fact that our new CFO has serious IPO creds, I'd say we'd probably go public within 2y. I expect the stock value at IPO to be 60ish, but for it to debut at 50ish.
That seems too low, given we are more efficient than most other companies that are already public and worth more than that.
congratulations ! i am supporting this. how much equity can i new hire get now?
Beware of the echo chamber...
A vaguely ominous warning delivered anonymously... Care to elaborate?
Example one: Snapchat is currently worth one tenth of its expected IPO price
